1965 GIBSON L4-C HOLLOWBODY ARCHTOP GUITAR ALL ORIGINAL Up for auction is a 1964 Gibson L-4 in great condition. Beautiful aged spruce top, maple back and sides, bound rosewood fingerboard with dual parallelogram inlays, mahogany neck, rosewood bridge, pointed end tailpiece with three parallelograms, and a 16 1/8" lower bout. Kluson tuners with tulip shaped keystone buttons. The L4-C is a classic archtop guitar with f-holes made by Gibson from 1949 - 1971. This guitar has a beautiful sunburst finish. The frets are original with minor wear. The necks is straight with low action. The finish is in wonderful condition with some finish checking. There are two minor dings in the top as shown in the photos. Both are about 1/16" in diameter. This guitar plays wonderfully with a nice jazzy, woody tone and is surprisingly loud for an archtop.
