1974 Fender Stratocaster Starts at $1, YOU DECIDE PRICE Picture(s) and Description:

You know, the most entertaining thing about Ebay is that its the by FAR the most up to date economic barometer in the history of modern commerce. Its the purest example of "supply and demand", and relative down to the very second. Lets conduct a little experement and find out exactly what the market will bear for a 1974 Fender Stratocaster, arguably the most iconic fixture in modern American music. This particular example is mostly original, from my 25+ years experience in the field. It appears to be a replacement nut, one of the Graphtec ones that are a popular upgrade for a lot of Strats. The case is a more modern hardshell USA Fender model that functions properly. Very yellow shade of blonde, i've only seen a couple as yellow as this, but does not appear to be a refinish. Pots are dated Aug of 74, and that coincides with the neck date as well. It is a 3 bolt neck with the Microtilt feature. Pickups are greybottoms stock to this guitar, according to the previous owner, the bridge pickup became microphonic and was returned to the Fender factory for a rewind. It has a very strong 6.8 output, and blends amazingly with the middle pickup. Kudos to the guy who had the work done the right way. Fretlife is at about 65%, still many years of jamming available on this neck before youd have to think about a refret. Neck condition is about a 7.5 out of ten, no major nicks or dents, but you can tell its been played. Extremely fast and comfy feeling, you might feel compelled to play Hendrix songs on it (as I was). Body is in actually VERY good condition, an easy 8.8/10, very few nicks and dings. Paint is worn thru in some spots, but you can tell its NOT been abused. Pots and switch appear to be original, as does the hardware and wiring. Neck pocket is absolutely pristine, not even any finish cracks. Action is low to very low at the moment with no fret buzz, but you may prefer a thicker string setup than 10s (I do). Bid with confidence, lorraineshouse has sold a TON of guitars worldwide and we always pride ourselves in going the extra mile. We always overpack, overinsure, and work our butts off to make sure our customers are #1. International bidders are OK as long as they email me first.... guitar will be shipped from 19530 postal code (US) so please do not ask me for shipping quotes. Those with low or no feedback please email me first as well to avoid bid cancellation. Shipping with insurance varies, so I will ship to the lower 48 for $60 and anyhere else, the shipping costs are completely and soley the winning bidders responsibility. Good luck, lets see what this badboy brings!
