1977 Gibson Sg Rare Pelham Blue Vintage Guitar Picture(s) and Description:
1977 GIBSON SG in the INFAMOUS and SUPER RARE PELHAM BLUE from private collection of over 20 years. On a scale of one to ten I'd give it an 8.5 or a 9 in appearance. Professionally gigged over 2 decades ago someone made this beauty a a real player! The swapped items are tailpiece, Rio Grande pickups, knobs, 3 of the 6 tuners, and brass nut but I believe the body and paint to be all original. THIS IS A REAL FADED 32 year old PELHAM BLUE SG! There's some light crazing / finish cracks and beautiful smooth greening from age that give it so much character! There are some small dings here and there from being played, as this baby should be! There is a wide stripe of non faded paint down the center of the back where there was either a sticker or a strap for quite some time (looks like a natural racing stripe.) The finish crazing does not affect the play ability at all and just adds real character. See pics and feel free to ask any questions. Comes with a brand new non original TKL black tolex case cost me $89 bucks plus tax. The guitar has only been plugged in to check the electronics and everything works perfectly. I'd throw a new pair of strings on it because I don't think its been played for quite some time. This is a way cool and super rare guitar in the beautiful and HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER PELHAM BLUE. Probably a Custom Factory order for someone special back in the 70's. I've never seen another in my travels and it would make a great gift for some who has good taste and wants to stand out in a crowd. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION so shoot to win. Good Luck!
