1988 MIJ Fender Stratocaster Time to sell this cool 1988 Made In Japan Fender Stratocaster. It's a great guitar in a unique color: Ocean Turquoise. The guitar has all the attributes of the Strats that Fender imported when they had to do their production overseas after buying the company back from CBS. These MIJ guitars have traditionally been recognized as some of the best electrics Fender ever sold - even at the Standard level. This one is no different. Here are the significant characteristics of this Strat: Model: Fender Made in Japan Standard StratocasterColor: Ocean Turquoise (all of the pictures I took show the color to be closer to Lake Placid Blue, but I tinted the one picture of the body to more accurately represent what the actual color is when seen by the eye - it has a touch of green in the tint)Neck: One-piece maple with good frets and cool fretboard wear - low action - basic "C" profilePickups: I have swapped the original pickups and electronics out for Fender Highway 1 pickups and high-end wiring (CTS, Orange Drop, cloth wire, etc.) Original pickups will be included in the sale. Pickguard is white pearlWeight: 7.1 lbs according to my digital fishing scaleOverall condition: I would rate this as being in very good condition. There is nothing that needs to be done to the guitar - it plays fantastically.
