2004 FENDER BASSMAN AMPLIFIER! Fantastic Hand-Made Hand-Wired Bassman Clone! No Reserve and Free Shipping! ITEM: For your consideration is this 2004 Fender Bassman electric guitar amplifier. This hand-wired 50 watt reissue was built to the exact specifications of an authentic original 1959 Bassman combo. This reissue was hand-made and hand-wired with point-to-point assembly by local amp builder "Stumpy." This amp is the closest you can get to owning an original, at literally a very small fraction of the price. Constructed using some of the best components (some of them vintage) and a great looking cabinet, this amp is much better than a new Fender reissue. Features of this tweed Bassman include: 4x10" Jensen speakers, hand-wired top-quality components, cloth wiring, and even hand-drawn schematic diagrams on the wood board on which everything is mounted. Yes, this amp is PC Board-free, and is completely hand-wired and point-to-point. This particular amp is in good working condition, although there are some kinks that need to be worked out. Firstly, when all controls are all the way up, the distortion is severe, and the sound is fairly artificial. Also, both Volume channels are highly dependent upon another. The Normal channel volume seems to be controlled by the Bright volume control. When plugged into the volume channel all the way turned up, the sound is somewhat soft, until the Bright volume is turned up as well. It does sound good once the volume controls are properly negotiated: It gives that warm, clear clean tone at lower volumes, and really crunches when you crank it up. The volume pots are scratchy, and one of the speakers seems to be fatigued, however, it is difficult to tell if the sound is a result of the harsh distortion when turned all the way up. Cosmetically, this amp looks fantastic but does have a few flaws, most notably what appear to be a few cigarette burns on the tolex, and a broken knob: which were intended to enhance the vintage appeal and vibe. All of these can be clearly seen in our images below, which are all of the actual amp.
