Fender Squier ’51 Vintage mod. Strat/Tele elec. guitar Picture(s) and Description:

Fender

You are looking at a low reserve auction for a 1 owner 2005 SQUIER'51 designed and backed by Fender. These will be rare as they didn't make too many. This rock’n little axe is modified and tells me somethings different, and it is! The headstock has nice quality 6 chrome in line sealed adjustable tuning gears. The '51 model is a vintage modified hybrid of 2 of Fender's best guitars. Body is all Strat style and the neck is Tele style. It is truely the best of all blues, rock, country worlds. The scale is 25.5 inches. A 22nd fret has been added(pix) for the waycool upper register screaming leads that this puppy puts out. I wanted to be able to remove it to return it to stock if needed, so it is super glued in place. It's totally functional and "sounds great!" Why Squier didn't make them 22 frets when the neck has enough room for it,I don't know?? The Squier'51 is in great condition with plenty of punch to go around. The neck pickup(pix) was upgraded to a Dimarzio DP409 Virtual Vintage Heavy Blues II. The cover has been touched up for the black on black effect it was white. The output is 170mv which is alot Hotter than a stock single coil(close to dbl output) but still has beautiful Fendery clear tones as expected, but with some added presence, especially when single notes are picked. So lead solo's or fill's are in your face. Now it matches the humbucker better in output. The Bridge Humbucker pickup is stock and sounds freak'n great. I'm really picky about pickups. I had already made plans to replace the bridge pickup before I ever played it, but once I plugged it in I had to keep it. Somehow its got great humbucker edge but retains some Fender single coil quality to it. Wait a minute don't stop there, each pickup has a push/pull coil tap at the volume control for more versatile ranges in tones. The 3 way click turn pickup selector is where the tone knob would have been. Both the Coil tap and pickup selector are factory stock. There is no tone control as the coil tap does it for you. I could then see why it won the 2004 Guitar Player Magazine Editors pick Award. Here is a short article note a bout it. ’51 Wins GP Editors’ Pick Award, We’re very proud indeed to announce that the new Squier ’51 has received an Editors’ Pick Award in the October 2004 issue of Guitar Player magazine. The Squier ’51 "is a hot-rod in the truest sense of the word". "The ’51’s neck pickup sounds great for Strat-style blues wailing, and combining it with the full bridge humbucker yields a great rhythm tone with a clanky top-end and plenty of bottom." "This is a fun guitar to play, and with its custom look, hip tones, and downright amazing price, the Squier ’51 easily nabs an Editors’ Pick Award." G. P. wasn't kidding, it is a Hot-Rod to be reckoned with. No dents or gouges, the body has the usual wear from it being the player that it is. Overeall the guitar has a beautiful finish with a nice clear coat on it. A too cool etched Dragon decal(pix) is suttle at distance but very detailed up close. Serial numbers are intact and legible. Neck plate is chrome withe the Squier logo engraved on it(pix) . The pickguard has been upgraded to black(it came with white) to enhance the black on black effect. This baby is ready to rock with the necks action speedy, fast, low, and straight(pix). The weight is heavy enough for good sustain but doesn't kill your back. It is a well balanced axe with no neck drop(when strapped on lift up your arms to see). Mechanically this guitar is very sound with no weird buzzes or electrical noise. If you’re a versatile player the p/u configuration is for you. The Lead Humbucker rocks with full body warm’th and bite, and a clean stronger Neck single coil Dimarzio DP409 sets up your style from clean to mean. Any style, it handles it. Feels and plays comfortably like a dream. I'm gonna miss her! Comes with a Peavey strap. Guitar will be shipped securely. Please read the description carefully before bidding. Bid with confidence. Item will be packaged securely, Shipping is flat rate $30., Paypal please, Continental U.S. Only, Good luck bidding! Winner gets to rock the house!
