I know, because I helped build Raven untill Ray and Marsha's passing. The K2-175 SM is for those of you who've asked for a solid no nonsense rock machine. Though we've gone with a lean and mean philosophy, don't think we skimped on the essentials. With a non-bound body and bolt-on neck of solid mahogany, the 175 SM has everything necessary to deliver all the solid tone of it's fancier brothers. Two specially voiced open coil humbuckers, three-way pickup selector switch, traditional chrome tune-o-matic style bridge and stop tailpiece keep the all important string path simple and uncluttered, while the smooth and precise PING tuners keep your tuning rock solid. Each pickup has it's own separate volume and tone control, which makes getting the exact tone for your own unique signature sound a breeze. It's 22 fret, 24 3/4" scale neck sports an Rosewood fingerboard ( BOUND ) inlayed with Pearl Dots. The satin-finished natural mahogany body and neck is set off perfectly with cream pickup surrounds, pickguard and switch plate.
