This is an auction for a Really Nice ultra rare cherry red finish original 1973 Gibson Les Paul Custom with original Gibson hard case which is a great, fast player and sounds amazing. There are a few marks and dings on it, but nothing too serious, especially for a 37 year old guitar, I have tried to photograph the main dings so have a good look at the photos, these will give you a good idea of condition.Please have a good look at the 28+ high resolution photos I have posted to fully appreciate the good condition this beautiful guitar is inSerial number is 101535 and all the pots that I can read are dated 1973 and all look original. There are a number of changed parts to this but nothing that will stop you restoring it if you feel you need to - at least all the wood, finish, frets, pots and capacitors are original. The pickups have been changed to some hand signed, expensive looking, boutique style pickups that sound totally amazing...! If anyone can identify them I would love to know what they are as they really are amazing.Other parts that I know have been changed include the knobs which are 50's style, the pickguard, tailpiece which looks like an old Gibson nickel one, tuners which are Grover imperials - if you want to change these back to the original waffle style you can as the Imperials use exactly the same screw holes on the back, you will just need a spacer and you will not see any evidence of other tuners when you look at the back of the headstock. Other, smaller items may also have been changed that I am unaware of and I am not guaranteeing the originality of every single screw or part on this guitar!Finish is 100% original with a nice dark back and there has been no repairs, routes or breaks anywhere on the guitar. Included is the original 1973 purple lined Gibson case that has a non original handle.This is a no reserve auction and the highest bid takes it. Inspection is welcome before the auction finishes, guitar is situated somewhere near Hull.UK list price for these are over £loads each so therefore at 1p and NO RESERVE it may be a good bargain...All I have is exactly what you see pictured - nothing more and nothing less!I will post for the rates in the 'P&P and Payments' section, or you are more than welcome to collect.
