Fretboard inlays feature breaching whale. Purchased brand new for $2,800.00 in 2002. This guitar outplayed, and had a sweeter tone than all the other guitars at the time of purchase including Martins, Gibson and Taylor's, ...in my humble opinion, I became a fan of the high end Takamine guitars after playing it, And so now. Reluctantly I am putting it up so bid HIGH...I have a lot of little mouths to feed which is why YOU have this chance to win it in this auction!!! The action is just right and very easy to chord with in any position. This guitar has a warm tone that translates to an amp very well. The built in tuner is a quality touch of class as well. When the tuner is turned on, the guitar is disconnected from the amp. The EQ is nice to have as well. There are no flaws at all in the construction of the guitar, There is some hazing in the finish of the headstock which is common. The inlays and such were designed by Robert Wyland who did an amazing job with this most memorable model.This is a great guitar for live stage playing. I have been playing off and on for over 29 years and have owned dozens of guitars and this is by far the best acoustic electric that I have owned including my Gibson and Martin. . It is truly a work of art. I am selling off my last few guitars, including another of my favorites, my Tacoma Thunder-hawk Baritone BF28C. my loss is your gain...SO Bid HIGH !!!!...it literally hurts to sell these but I have 7 kids to take care of, and THEY are worth the sacrifice!!!
