VINTAGE KAY N-2 ACOUSTIC GUITAR! Nice Original Condition! No Reserve and Free Shipping! ITEM: For your consideration is this vintage 1958 Kay N2 flattop acoustic guitar. This particular instrument (serial #L10xx) was made in the late-1950's, and features: an auditorium (000) size body, a bound Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, Kelvinator-inspired headstock, checkerboard binding, and the very early white tear drop single-ply pickguard. Made in Chicago, this guitar features a plywood body with what seems to be a maple laminate and a gorgeous Tobacco Sunburst finish, a solid maple neck, a rosewood fretboard with copper frets and pearloid dot inlays, a rosewood bridge, original tuning machines, and a white pickguard. This guitar is in good working and playing condition. The neck exhibits slight relief, but can be adjusted to your liking. As with all flattops, the mid-ranges on bar chords is where the sound stands out, but single-string solos also have real character in the N2, with plenty of sustain and vocal nuance. As it is, it is an outstanding slide guitar. Cosmetically, this guitar is in good vintage condition, but as you can see in the photos below, there are some nicks, dings, and signs of wear and use typically found on a guitar of this vintage.
